I need to make site hierarchy type web part which needs to have the following structure : - web application 1 -- top level site 1 --- subsite 1 --- subsite 2 -- top level site 2 - web application 2 -- top level site 1 --------------------------- Can we make a hierarchy in tree view control ?

This implementation of the tree-view uses the default provider which only provides site information below the current site. I think you'd need to write a custom provider for the tree view in order to get up to the web application level.

This looks great. but i'm new to sharepoint and have no idea what to do with it? how can i make use of this functionality. I cant open .stp from codeplex in sharepoint designer and if i rename to cab and open it is just a massive manifest.xml and a couple of other files that do show as "000" files??? Any help /instructions on this please?

*edit* Ok i got this installed using stsadm tool onto my test server. I have created a site which usese this template..... but when i click "lists" in left navigation nothing happens. However if i view all site content i can see all the lists. The reason im interested in this is i've been tasked with writing my own custom treeview for left navigation bar and i want to see all the links as well. I had no idea how to get at the links collection within the site and when i saw your demo project displayed them i thought id try and find out how you did it. Just having problems getting to that point !
